Cool Wedding Gifts

Because so many people are delaying in getting married, they often have almost everything they require to begin their married life. Few brides move from their parents’ home to their husbands. Most brides have at least lived away from home for a few years. Because newly married couples are blending households, their needs are different from the couples of past decades. So what’s a person to do? What do you give couple’s who already have everything?

Because many couples are moving into a new home but already have plenty of furniture and household items, gift givers have to have more ingenuity than every before. Hence they are looking for cool wedding gifts that imitate the personality of the couple. For the uninitiated, most couples do register at department stores for presents they would like to receive. You can go that route and you will be sure of giving just the right gift. Some couples also register at hardware stores so that the groom as well as the bride gets useful presents. There is nothing wrong with using gift registries or even gift cards. These are always welcome gifts.

Sometimes gift givers, particularly those who are also new home owners, like to present a couple with cool gifts that they wish they had received when they got married. For instance, gift baskets are becoming more and more popular as cool gifts. The gift basket is so simple and they are as varied as the imagination can foresee. For a great gift basket, go to a kitchen store that has unusual cooking tools, gourmet food, and interesting coffees. You could buy an espresso machine, different coffees, and some lovely cups. Then the clerk of the store will help you choose a great basket, put everything in the basket, and wrap it in lovely transparent wrap. After the addition of a huge bow, the gift is ready. Another cool present for a couple that likes to cook might be a gift basket full of gourmet spices and mixes. You could add some interesting kitchen tools to fill up the basket.

If the couple isn’t interested in cooking, another type of basket might be in order. You can buy a small basket and fill it with certificates of their favorite restaurants. You could even add some movie tickets and gourmet coffee or candies. The ideas for wedding gift baskets are endless. Use your imagination.

Another cool gift for a married couple who are to be new home owners is gifts of plants to landscape their new home. With the addition of your offers to help with the planting, you will be giving one of the coolest gifts ever. Patio furniture is also a great gift. A group of friends can pool their money and gift the new couple with inexpensive furniture for their deck or patio.

Think outside the box. Think of the happy couple and their likes and dislikes. You might even check out their gift registries and then come up with your own cool wedding gift ideas.
